Buying a present for someone?

Forget socks, slippers and smellies and try these ideas:

-Polar bear, black bear
A small ‘list’ book so they can jot down their ‘to do’ list on the go. Encourage them to make lists of things that make them feel good, too, not just lists of the stuff that needs to be done.

-Tiger, cat
A day out to a favourite place, probably where there aren’t a lot of other people about.

-Panther
A day out somewhere fun and exciting, perhaps involving a challenge – perhaps a theme park or paintballing.

-Lion
A day out somewhere fun and exciting, perhaps involving people – for example, a surprise party or gig.

-Teddy bear
A surprise night out with all of their friends.
The latest mobile phone so they can text all of their friends and keep up with all of the gossip more often.

-Koala bear, dolphin, sea horse
An album with photos of all the people they know with positive comments written by close friends and family.

-Barn owl, eagle
A game, puzzle or challenge that is difficult to master, or the latest trendy gadget.

-Seal, tawny owl
An ‘ideas’ book – somewhere to write down their good ideas as they happen. Challenge them to pick out the best ideas and share them with others.

-Clown fish, falcon
An ‘ideas’ book – somewhere to jot down their good ideas as they occur. Challenge them to pick out the best and make them happen. A surprise party, perhaps in fancy dress, where they are the centre of attention. Don’t buy them something small: they’ll just lose it!
